IWR North America Earns SCOTY Award and Keystone Recognition

IWR North America was recognized at the Associated General Contractors of Missouri (AGCMO) Construction Awards Gala on Nov. 7 at the River City Casino Hotel in St. Louis. IWR earned the 2024 Specialty Contractor of the Year (SCOTY) Award in Thermal and Moisture Protection for the second consecutive year. In addition, IWR was named a Keystone Award finalist for its exceptional work on the University of Missouri’s new Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

The SCOTY Award highlights IWR’s overall excellence in thermal and moisture protection, recognizing the company’s outstanding performance and partnership with general contractors across the region. In contrast, the Keystone Awards are project-specific honors that celebrate extraordinary achievement on individual construction endeavors.

IWR’s designation as a finalist for its work on the University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital highlights its ability to tackle complex projects with innovative solutions and attention to detail. Partnering with general contractor Paric-Barton Malow, IWR provided design, fabrication and installation services for the hospital’s building enclosure, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and durability.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized as a SCOTY Award winner and Keystone Award finalist,” said Todd Staley, President of IWR North America. “MU Hospital will stand as a source of pride for the University of Missouri campus, the city of Columbia, and its community for generations to come.”

The hospital project involved integrating the new structure with the existing facility, ensuring uninterrupted access for patients and staff. The work incorporated advanced materials such as unitized curtain walls, insulated metal panels, ultra high-performance concrete panels, aluminum composite panels and custom glass and metal elements.

Safety and sustainability were prioritized throughout the project. IWR achieved zero on-site injuries and reduced environmental impact through material reuse. Advanced technologies, including AutoCAD, Revit and Procore, streamlined coordination and delivered exceptional results.

Being recognized as the top specialty contractor in Thermal and Moisture Protection by its peers underscores IWR’s excellence in timeliness, budget adherence and craftsmanship. These accolades reaffirm the company’s uncompromising commitment to innovative solutions that meet clients’ evolving needs.

For nearly 130 years, IWR North America has built a legacy of delivering high-performing facades that catalyze communities. With multiple locations nationwide, IWR remains a trusted partner for general contractors, providing innovative solutions and dedication to quality and longevity.
